     Direct the Interim Joint Committee on Education to study education leadership in the public schools.

HCR 177 - AMENDMENTS


     HCS - Retain original provisions except add "Council on Postsecondary Education" to groups to be involved.

     SCS - Retain original provisions; direct a subcommittee of the Interim Joint Committee on Education to study the process used to allot salaries in the Kentucky Community and Technical College System and report its findings to the Interim Joint Committee on Education and the Legislative Research Commission prior to the 2003 Regular Session of the General Assembly.

     SCA (1/Title, L. Casebier) - Change title to "A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION directing the Interim Joint Committee on Education to complete education studies."

     SFA (2, R. Leeper) - Retain provisions of HCR 177/SCS and provide additional findings relating to the absence of progress implementing the provisions of Public Law 105-204 requiring construction of a Uranium Hexaflouride (DUF6) waste conversion facility at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant, and directing the Governor and the Attorney General to take action against the Federal Department of Energy for its failure to create a facility for conversion and removal of DUF6.
