Direct the Legislative Research Commission to establish a task force to study strategies to enhance the privacy, confidentiality, and security of protected health information, educate the public regarding privacy requirements, and analyze current state statutes regarding privacy of health information; require a final report to the Legislative Research Commission, the Interim Joint Committee on Health and Welfare, and the Interim Joint Committee on Banking and Insurance by September 1, 2003.
