AN ACT relating to American history and heritage literacy.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 158 to require the Kentucky Board of Education to promulgate regulations directing the Kentucky Department of Education to include instruction, professional development, and testing of the Mayflower Compact, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Federalist Papers, and George Washington's Farewell Address in the statewide program of studies and assessment and accountability examinations; create a new section of KRS Chapter 158 to designate this legislation the American History and Heritage Literacy Act.
