     AN ACT relating to naming state roads.
     Amend KRS 177.010, relating to definitions for state and federal highways, to define the terms "cabinet" and "secretary"; amend KRS 177.074, relating to procedures for naming a state road or bridge, to require the Transportation Cabinet to erect signs on state highways in honor and memory of Kentucky state troopers killed in the line of duty; require the cabinet to name a road upon receipt of a written request from the commissioner of the Kentucky State Police; require the signs to be erected within 30 days of receipt of the written request.

SB 18 - AMENDMENTS


     SCS - Retain provision of original and include a provision that if a road requested by the State Police already bears a name, the Transportation Cabinet and State Police shall find a mutually agreeable road segment to name.
