AN ACT relating to the transportation of persons for hire in an urban-county.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 281 to allow an urban-county government to petition the Transportation Cabinet to assume responsibility for the regulation of taxicabs and limousines within the urban-county; require the cabinet to relinquish all regulatory duties to an urban-county if petitioned; provide that if an urban-county fails to petition the cabinet to assume the regulation of taxicabs and limousines by October 1, 2002, the provisions of the Act become void.
