SB 204 (BR 2136) - T. Buford
AN ACT relating to the service and delivery of distilled spirits and wine.
Amend KRS 243.200 to permit a holder of a retail drink license or a retail package license to transport distilled spirits and wine from the premises of a licensed wholesaler to the licensed premises of the retail licensee; amend KRS 244.050 to permit a holder of a retail drink license to allow customers to sample distilled spirits and wine on the licensed premises in limited amounts.
SB 204 - AMENDMENTS
SCS - Retain original provisions; amend KRS 243.030 to authorize the issuance of a golf cart supplemental license; amend KRS 243.030 to allow a caterer licensee to serve distilled spirits and wine at locations for which retail malt beverage licenses have been issued to nonprofit organizations; and amend KRS 243.260 to authorize the issuance of a distilled spirits and wine temporary license or a special temporary wine license to a nonprofit organization holding a retail malt beverage license.
SFA (1, T. Buford) - Add provision that requires a retailer's truck used in transporting alcoholic beverages to be marked in accordance with department regulations; require retailer and wholesaler to document transaction; require retail drink licensee to notify the department 7 days before providing samples and limit the sampling event to a period not to exceed four consecutive hours between 12 noon and 8 p.m.
SFA (2, T. Buford) - Amend KRS 243.130 to allow a distiller, brewer, wholesaler, or retailer to donate to a public or private nonprofit, charitable organization, for the purpose of fundraising events and activities, distilled spirits, wine, or beer the license holder possesses under its license to manufacture or sell.

SFA (4, T. Buford) - Amend KRS 243.130 to allow a distiller, brewer, wholesaler, or retailer licensed pursuant to KRS 243.030(7) to donate to a public or private, nonprofit, charitable organization, for the purpose of fundraising events and activities, distilled spirits or wine the license holder possesses under its license to manufacture or sell.
