AN ACT relating to public agency meetings and records.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 61 to create the Kentucky Open Meetings and Open Records Commission for the purpose of rendering decisions with regard to open meetings and open records of public agencies; repeal and reenact KRS 61.805 to alphabetize the definitions and define "Commission" as the Kentucky Open Meetings and Open Records Commission; amend KRS 61.846 and 61.848 to require the commission to render open meetings decisions; repeal and reenact KRS 61.870 to alphabetize the definitions and define "Commission" as the Kentucky Open Meetings and Open Records Commission; amend KRS 61.880 and 61.882 to require the commission to render open records decisions; amend KRS 175.580, 177.530, and 216.847 to conform; EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 15, 2002, for Sections 3, 4, 6, and 7 of the Act pertaining to the commencement of the commission rendering decisions.
