     AN ACT relating to health insurance.
     Amend KRS 18A.225 to provide that if a state employee's residence and place of employment are located in the same county and if a level two participating hospital is not located within that county, the state employee may select a plan offered in a contiguous county in which a level two participating hospital is located; provide that the state employee who selects such a plan shall receive the same state contribution for the plan as a resident of the contiguous county who selects the same plan.

SB 292 - AMENDMENTS


     SCS - Delete original provisions; provide that if a state employee's residence and place of employment are in the same county, and if the hospital located in the county does not offer surgical services, intensive care services, obstetrical services, level II neonatal services, diagnostic catheterization services, and magnetic resonance imaging services, the employee may select a plan in a contiguous county that does provide those services; provide that the state contribution for the plan shall be the amount available in the county where the selected plan is located.
