Create the Kentucky Watershed Task Force to study the need for managing the state's water on a watershed basis, the necessity of seeking agreements with border states on the management of water in shared watersheds, and the possibility of seeking agreements with the owners of impounded waters to manage the impounded water to further state and local water management goals.
SCR 17 - AMENDMENTS
SFA (1, B. Guthrie) - Add representatives of the Farm Bureau, Ky Resources Council, and the WKU Center for Water Resource Studies to the Watershed Task Force.
SFA (2, B. Jackson) - Add the Coordinator of the Center for Reservoir Research at Murray State University to the Kentucky Watershed Task Force.
HCS - Add a representative of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Cabinet to the task force.
HFA (1, B. Yonts) - Exempt any pond belonging to the gentleman from Butler.
HFA (2, S. Baugh) - Add the executive director of the Kentucky Council of Area Development Districts to the task force.
HFA (3, W. Allen) - Declare that, when seeking agreements to manage impounded waters for state purposes, such agreements will not be sought of privately-owned water impoundments.
HFA (4, S. Baugh) - Add a representative of area development districts and a representative of the Rural Water Association to the task force.
