HB 121 (BR 865) - P. Bather
AN ACT relating to private passenger motor vehicle insurance premiums.
Create a new section of Subtitle 20 of KRS Chapter 304 to define "private passenger motor vehicle insurance"; require the premium quotation for private passenger motor vehicle insurance to separately identify the portion of the premium attributable to each rating factor used by the insurer; authorize the commissioner of the Department of Insurance to enforce this Act.
HB 121 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Delete the original provisions of the Act; direct the Interim Joint Committee on Banking and Insurance to study the feasibility of requiring insurers of private passenger motor vehicles, at the time when a person is issued a policy and when an insured is sent a notice of renewal, to disclose the rating factors used in the development of rates and premiums and to separately identify the portion of the premium attributable to each rating factor; require the report to be ready by December 1, 2003.
