HB 122/LM (BR 394) - G. Stumbo, C. Embry Jr

     AN ACT relating to elections and declaring an emergency.
     Amend KRS 118.245 to eliminate runoff primary for gubernatorial slates; amend various sections to conform; amend KRS 121.150 and 121A.050 to increase contribution limits from $1,000 to $2,000; amend KRS 121.150 and 121A.030 to allow gubernatorial slates to accept contributions within last 28 days prior to the primary election; make retroactive for contributions made prior to effective date of Act for candidates participating in elections held after January 1, 2003; EMERGENCY.

HB 122 - AMENDMENTS


     HCA (1, A. Arnold) - Delete provisions of bill; amend KRS 121.150 and 121A.030 to allow gubernatorial slates to accept contributions within last 28 days prior to the primary election; EMERGENCY.

     HFA (1, S. Brinkman) - Amend KRS 116.055 to delete the requirement that a person be registered as a member of the party on December 31 to be eligible to vote in a primary election; delete the requirement for a new registration that a person remain registered as a member of the party to be eligible to vote in the primary election.

     SCS/LM - Amend KRS 118.245 to eliminate runoff primary for gubernatorial slates; amend various sections to conform; amend KRS 121.150 and KRS 121A.130 to allow gubernatorial slates to accept contributions within the last 28 days prior to the primary election; EMERGENCY.
