HB 124 (BR 882) - D. Ford

     AN ACT relating to motor carrier dimension limits.
     Amend KRS 189.222, regarding motor carrier dimension limits, to allow 102-inch-wide trailers to travel on any state highway for up to 15 miles from an interstate exit to reach the driver's home and return to the interstate.

HB 124 - AMENDMENTS


     SCS - Add parkways to the list of roads that 102-inch wide trailers may be driven up to fifteen miles from; eliminate limited purpose of traveling to and from the driver's home and allow travel for fifteen miles for any purpose.

     SFA (1, T. Buford) - Add a section 2 to amend KRS 189.270, regarding special overweight and overdimensional permits, to remove restrictions on time and day of travel, except allow rush hour restrictions, and allow a permit holder to return to his place of business under a permit immediately after work at a job site is completed.

     SFA (2, T. Buford) - Add a section 2 to amend KRS 189.270, regarding special overweight and overdimensional permits, to increase the maximum weight allowed under these permits to 160,000 pounds, remove restrictions on time and day of travel, except allow rush hour restrictions, and allow a permit holder to return to his place of business under a permit immediately after work at a job site is completed.
