AN ACT relating to business names.
     Amend KRS 365.015 to require that each certificate of assumed name for an individual shall be filed with the county clerk where the person maintains his or her principal place of business; when a business entity has filed a certificate of assumed name with the Secretary of State, require the Secretary of State to notify that business entity of the requirements for renewing the certificate; establish procedures for withdrawing or amending a certificate of assumed name; establish circumstances under which the filing of a certificate of assumed name prevents the use of that name by other persons; allow an individual to file a certificate of assumed name with the county clerk and the Secretary of State.
