HB 138 (BR 803) - De. Butler

     AN ACT relating to alcoholic beverages.
     Amend KRS 241.060 to require a licensee to submit to and pay the costs of food audits if the department reasonably believes that the required percentage of food sales is not being met; require the licensee to undergo mandatory training in lieu of suspension and revocation if the department believes such training will resolve the problem; amend KRS 243.033 to permit a caterer to prepare foods at a banquet hall; amend KRS 243.360 to delete requirement that an applicant for a hotel in-room license comply with advertisement and publication requirements under KRS 424.130(1)(b); amend KRS 243.380 to permit an applicant to pay by methods other than cash, check, and money order if they are acceptable to the board; amend KRS 243.480 to allow training in lieu of part or all of the days of any suspension; require that the content of the training and the number of hours required be established in administrative regulations; set out the minimum content for training; amend KRS 244.290 and 244.480 to create a fifteen-minute grace period in which alcoholic beverages sold at or near closing can be consumed; amend KRS 244.085 to delete language permitting minors to be on the premises of a facility selling alcoholic beverages if the facility has an inventory of at least $5000 of food.
