     AN ACT relating to fees.
     Amend KRS 64.090 relating to fees for sheriffs and constables to increase the arrest fee from $10 to $30.

HB 162 - AMENDMENTS


     SCS/LM - Remove Section 1 from the original bill and in lieu thereof create a new section of KRS Chapter 64 to impose a $10 fee for each uniform citation issued by a peace officer of a local government and conviction thereupon to be collected by the circuit clerk and returned to the local government employing the officer; create a new section of KRS 24A.191 to 24A.193 to provide that 50% of the base court revenue shall be returned by the Finance and Administration Cabinet to those local governments eligible to receive it until June 30, 2004 and specify that, for those eligible governments who receive base court revenue, the new fee is intended to replace base court revenue; and repeal all sections of KRS 24A.190 to 24A.193 effective June 30, 2004.
