HB 206 (BR 816) - M. Weaver, T. Riner

     AN ACT providing for a Kentucky Support of Guard and Reserve Employers' Council.
     Create new sections of KRS Chapter 40 to establish the Kentucky Support of Guard and Reserve Employers' Council; provide for membership and organization; provide that the mission shall be to educate employers in the importance of supporting the Guard and Reserves by furnishing time off for training and job security during times of mobilization.

HB 206 - AMENDMENTS


     HCS - Change the name of the council from the Kentucky Support of Guard and Reserve Employers' Council to the Kentucky National Guard and Reserve Employers' Council; delete the provision which prevents the council from taking on the duties or functions of the national Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.

     HCA (1/Title, M. Weaver) - Make title amendment.

     SFA (1, T. Buford) - Have the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House each appoint 3 members of the council; have the Governor appoint 1 member; require that the council, rather than the Governor, appoint the council chair; require that the council meet not less than 2 and not more than 6 times each year.
