HB 219 (BR 1025) - Ji. Lee, G. Stumbo, H. Collins, H. Cornett, M. Weaver
AN ACT relating to motor vehicle dealers.
Amend KRS 190.030, relating to motor vehicle dealers, to prohibit a dealer from engaging in business in this state at any location without a license for that location; permit the temporary sale or display of motor vehicles, not to exceed three days, if the unit of government within which the sale is to occur has enacted an enabling ordinance authorizing temporary sales of motor vehicles.
HB 219 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain the provisions of the original bill but delete the requirement that temporary car sales not exceed three days.
HFA (1, P. Clark) - Clarify that restrictions apply to sales at any location.
HFA (2, R. Crimm) - Allow remote sales by a dealer in conjunction with a credit union unless prohibited by state or federal law.
HFA (3, J. Gooch) - Eliminate requirement for a representative sampling of inventory.
HFA (4, J. Gooch) - Allow remote sales unless they are specifically prohibited by local ordinance.
