HB 234 (BR 79) - T. McKee

     AN ACT relating to traffic regulations.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 189, relating to traffic regulations, to permit a 102 inches wide travel trailer to travel on Kentucky highways; allow the trailer to exceed the 102 inch width by another 6 inches for appurtenances.

HB 234 - AMENDMENTS


     HCS - Delete the provisions of the original bill in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof definitions for "appurtenances", "travel trailer", and "width exclusion safety devices"; provide that a travel trailer that is 102 inches wide and registered under KRS 186.050, 186.655, or an equivalent statute from another state may travel a state-maintained highway if the appurtenances and width exclusion safety devices do not exceed the limits established in the definition section.

     HFA (1, T. McKee) - Amend the definition section in the House Committee Substitute to delete the term "travel trailer" and insert in lieu thereof "recreational vehicle."

     SFA (1, V. Moore) - Make technical correction.
