HB 245 (BR 1003) - T. Kerr
AN ACT relating to the titling of motor vehicles.
Amend KRS 186A.115, relating to the inspection of vehicles brought into Kentucky, to establish procedures for the inspection and titling of motor vehicles purchased by a Kentucky resident who is temporarily residing out of state for at least 30 days but less than 9 months.
HB 245 - AMENDMENTS
SCS - Retain original provisions with the following additions: create a new section of KRS Chapter 186A to define "custom-built motorcycle" and set forth titling procedures for custom-built motorcycles; amend KRS 186A.520, regarding salvage titles, to require application for a salvage title within 15 days of receipt of all necessary paperwork rather than within 15 days of the loss or settlement of the loss.
