AN ACT proposing an amendment to Section 42 of the Constitution of Kentucky relating to legislative sessions.
Propose to amend Section 42 of the Constitution of Kentucky to require the General Assembly to remain in the even-year regular session beyond sixty days if necessary to enact a budget bill or bills; prohibit consideration of any other bill or resolution having the force and effect of law after the sixtieth legislative day.
HB 27 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain original bill, except permit consideration of budget memorandum; provide that members of the General Assembly shall not receive compensation for their services after the 60th legislative day; provide for a 2-day veto override period after enactment of budget in extended session; amend ballot language.
