HB 36 (BR 117) - C. Belcher, D. Sims, M. Denham, R. Meeks, R. Mobley, R. Nelson, T. Riner, R. Webb, S. Westrom

     AN ACT relating to abducted children.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 16 to require the Kentucky State Police to implement an Amber alert system to broadcast information relating to abductions of children; specify conditions under which broadcasts shall be activated; require cooperation of law enforcement agencies; require alerts to be authorized by the State Police; require the system to be operated within existing appropriations.

HB 36 - AMENDMENTS


     HCS - Retain the provisions of the original bill and delete reference to "news media" and insert in lieu thereof "the Kentucky Broadcasters Association and the Kentucky Press Association."
