HB 38 (BR 286) - J. Comer, R. Mobley
AN ACT relating to six year road plan projects.
Amend KRS 176.430, relating to identification of projects in a six year road plan, to allow state and local officials to request to postpone a project scheduled to be funded in the first two years of a road plan in favor of advancing another project in the same county that is scheduled in the last four years of the same road plan if the project is of more importance to the affected city or county.
HB 38 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain provisions of the original bill and add clarification that if any state or federal funds, regardless of the amount, have been expended on any phase of a Six Year Road Plan project, the project shall not be eligible to be advanced at the request of local and state officials.
HFA (1, H. Collins) - Add a provision that if local officials want to switch projects in a Six Year Road Plan that the projects must have the same fund source and be substantially similar in cost and schedule; add provisions to govern projects in multiple counties.
