AN ACT relating to wages and hours.
     Create new sections of KRS Chapter 337 to declare a public policy to establish a maximum hourly work day and work week for nonsupervisory employees of a health facility; create definitions for terms; prohibit an employer from working a nonsupervisory employee in excess of an agreed-to predetermined and regularly scheduled daily work shift, or over a forty 40 hour work week except in emergency situations; amend KRS 337.990 to establish penalties and provide that penalties assessed shall be paid to the Kentucky Nursing Incentive Scholarship Fund; amend KRS 314.027 to conform.
