HB 486 (BR 1776) - K. Stein, T. Riner

     AN ACT relating to driving under the influence.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 189A to allow the court, as a nonfinancial condition of bail, to authorize the installation of an ignition interlock device in the vehicle of those persons charged with a second or subsequent violation of KRS 189A.010(a), (b), (c), or (d) pending the outcome of the charges; require the court to revoke that condition and suspend the defendant's license upon the receipt of ignition interlock device reports that indicate a failure of the defendant to comply with the condition if the defendant is convicted and complies with the conditions, allow the court to consider those reports during sentencing.
