AN ACT relating to state employee travel.
Amend KRS 45.101 to require prior approval from an agency's appointing authority for in-state travel of ten or more of its employees or officers for the purpose of conducting a meeting which requires overnight lodging; establish what the request shall include; provide time frame for request and response; require the appointing authority to forward request and approval to the Finance and Administration Cabinet for its records.

HCS - Retain the original provisions of the bill except remove the requirement that the notification only apply to in-state travel thus requiring prior approval from an agency's appointing authority for travel of ten or more of its employees or officers for the purpose of conducting a meeting which requires overnight lodging.
