AN ACT relating to plumbing.
     Amend KRS 318.020 to exempt a homeowner from the plumber's licensing requirements if the homeowner obtains a permit, performs all work in compliance with the state plumbing code, personally performs all work to be done, and signs an affidavit at the time of applying for the permit that he or she will reside in the house for a period of at least one year; require the department to issue a subsequent permit if the applicant meets the initial requirements for obtaining a permit and either submits documentation that he or she has resided at the house for which the previous permit was issued for at least one year or submits documentation that five years has elapsed since a permit was issued.
