AN ACT relating to the taxation of cigarettes.
     Create various new sections of KRS Chapter 142 to provide for a tax on the gross receipts received by a wholesaler on each carton of cigarettes effective July 1, 2003; provide for a floor stock tax imposed on cigarette retailers; amend KRS 139.470 to exempt from sales tax the sale of cigarettes sold on or after July 1, 2003.
