AN ACT relating to bail.
Amend KRS 431.520 relating to forfeited bail to permit forfeited bail to be paid to victim of crime who has suffered economic damage; deduct payment from forfeited bail from crime victim compensation and restitution payment which may be ordered; amend KRS 431.531 relating to circuit clerk to conform.
HB 52 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Amend subsection (9) of Section 1 of the bill to provide that a prior lawful assignment of the bail shall have priority over payment to the crime victim, to the extent of the assignment.
