AN ACT relating to agriculture.
Amend KRS 41.600, 41.606, and 41.610 to make the Kentucky Agricultural Finance Corporation, rather than the Department of Agriculture, the entity to administer the linked deposit program; amend KRS 247.942 to change the definition of "applicant" and "first-time farmer", and to delete the definition of "department"; amend KRS 247.944 to remove the Kentucky Agricultural Finance Corporation from the Department of Agriculture and place it in the Finance and Administration Cabinet for administrative purposes, and to change the makeup of the Kentucky Agricultural Finance Corporation board; amend KRS 247.978 to increase the amount of principal an applicant can owe the corporation from $50,000 to $1,000,000; create noncodified language making the Commissioner of the Department of Agriculture the chair of the board for the first year; make technical corrections.
