AN ACT relating to property valuation administrators in charter county governments.
Amend KRS 132.590 to apply its provisions to property valuation administrators in charter county governments; specify that upon the establishment of a charter county government as provided in KRS Chapter 67, the amount appropriated by each fiscal court to the office of the property valuation administrator shall be no less than the total amount paid to the office of the property valuation administrator by the city or cities and any other taxing districts in the county within the fiscal year immediately preceding the establishment of the charter, or the amount required by the subsections (9) and (10), whichever is greater; amend KRS 132.635 to conform; make technical correction; create a new section of KRS Chapter 67 to conform.
HB 542 - AMENDMENTS
HCS/LM - Amend KRS 132.590 to apply its provisions to PVA offices in charter county governments; require that upon the merger of existing county and city governments as provided in KRS Chapter 67, the annual amount appropriated to the PVA's office shall be the combined amount that is required of the county under KRS 132.285 and the amount required of the city under KRS 132.285 with limitations and in the same manner and levels of funding as other merged governments; amend KRS 132.635 to conform.
