AN ACT relating to awards for students and teachers.
Create a new section of KRS Chapter 164A to encourage government entities, individuals, businesses, and organizations to provide monetary awards to students with high ACT or SAT scores, and to the teachers identified as being most responsible for their success; require the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority to administer the disbursement of awards.
HB 550 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Clarify provisions concerning the list and value of awards, the designation of an eligible group of students based on the fields in the Kentucky Higher Education Student Loan Corporation's ACT and SAT database, and the corporation's authority to adopt administrative regulations on awards other than monetary awards and to determine the number of students to receive awards when funds are insufficient.
