HB 67/CI (BR 9) - R. Damron, D. Sims

     AN ACT relating to carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
     Amend KRS 237.110, relating to concealed deadly weapon licenses, to specify when a person with a concealed deadly weapon license may carry a weapon into a detention facility; amend KRS 237.115, relating to concealed deadly weapon licenses, to specify when a person with a concealed deadly weapon license may carry a weapon into a detention facility; amend KRS 527.020, relating to carrying concealed deadly weapons, to specify when a person may carry a weapon into a detention facility.

HB 67 - AMENDMENTS


     HFA (1, R. Damron) - Amend KRS 237.110 to delete requirement that instructor submit class roster to the department; increase from 30 to 45 days the time for a student to return a class information form; specify that the State Police shall revoke the license of a person found by the Department of Criminal Justice training to have received no training or to have received insufficient training.

     SFA (1, J. Denton) - Amend subsection (5) of Section 3 to clarify that the term detention facility does not include courtrooms or other facilities used by the Court of Justice or administered by the Administrative Office of the Courts.

     SFA (2, J. Denton) - Amend subsections (5), (6), and (7) of Section 3 to clarify that the term detention facility does not include courtrooms or other facilities used by the Court of Justice or administered by the Administrative Office of the Courts.
