SB 111 (BR 1313) - J. Pendleton
AN ACT relating to cosmetologists.
Amend KRS 317A.050 to require the Board of Hairdressers and Cosmetologists to notify all licensees of the continuing education classes that have been approved and that are to be offered; require list to be distributed on a quarterly basis; set out information to be include in the listing; require providers to enter into a contract in which they agree to be sanctioned for not complying with the conditions by which the class was approved.
SB 111 - AMENDMENTS
SCS - Delete requirement that board submit to its licensees each quarter a list of approved continuing education classes and replace with requirement that board post classes on an agency Internet site; require board to update list monthly; delete continuing education requirements for licensees with ten years of experience.
HCS - Retain original provisions except delete language exempting cosmetologists, nail technicians, and instructors with ten years of experience from mandatory continuing education.
