SB 132 (BR 1346) - L. Casebier
AN ACT relating to school buses.
Amend KRS 189.550 to increase the stopping distance for school buses at railroad crossings to a range of fifteen to fifty feet from the nearest track.
SB 132 - AMENDMENTS
SCA (1, L. Casebier) - Retain the provisions of the original, but permit a bus driver to slowly roll forward past the required stopping distance at a railroad crossing in the event of limited visibility.
HFA (1, R. Nelson) - Direct the commissioner of education, notwithstanding any other statute or administrative regulation to the contrary, to approve 10 disaster days for a school district that has been closed at least 20 days due to inclement weather; EMERGENCY.
HFA (2/Title, R. Nelson) - Make title amendment.
HFA (3, R. Adams) - Authorize the commissioner of education to approve five disaster days for a district that has been closed at least ten days, notwithstanding other statutes or administrative regulations to the contrary, and declare an emergency.
HFA (4/Title, R. Adams) - Make title amendment.
