SB 140 (BR 1254) - R. Roeding

     AN ACT relating to public health.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 48 to prohibit public funding of any program that authorizes dispensing of medications or devices to a person of 16 or under for contraceptive purposes, or promoting contraceptive information to a person of 16 or under without first obtaining the written consent of at least one parent or guardian; amend KRS 211.180 to prohibit the Cabinet for Health Services from providing funding or any other support for a program that authorizes dispensing of a medication or device to a person of 16 or under for contraceptive purposes, or promoting contraceptive information to a person of 16 or under without first obtaining the written consent of at least one parent or guardian; and amend KRS 212.275 to prohibit a health department from dispensing a medication or device to a minor that may be used for contraceptive purposes or providing or promoting contraceptive information to a person of 16 or under without first obtaining the written consent of at least one parent or guardian.
