SB 146 (BR 1442) - E. Harris
AN ACT relating to the Public Service Commission.
Create new section of KRS Chapter 278 to provide that "NESC" refers to the National Electric Safety Code; require electric utilities to construct and maintain plan and facilities in accordance with accepted engineering practices and the most recent edition of the NESC; exempt from the requirements facilities constructed according to earlier editions of the code; and permit the Public Service Commission, for good cause shown, to order upgrades in existing facilities to conform to the new edition of code.
SB 146 - AMENDMENTS
SCA (1, E. Harris) - Delete provision that facilities constructed prior to the adoption of the most recent National Electric Safety Code not be required to update their facilities unless the Public Service Commission requires for good cause shown.
HFA (1/P, B. Yonts) - Retain original provisions of SB 146/GA; attach provisions of HB 555/GA to SB 146/GA.
HFA (2/Title, B. Yonts) - Make title amendment.
