AN ACT relating to merchant generation plant siting.
     Amend KRS 278.702 to permit the board to hire consultants, enforce orders, and suspend or revoke any authorization conferred by the board; amend KRS 278.706 to require any person seeking to obtain a construction certificate to construct a merchant electric generating facility to file a notice of intent of the office of the PSC and establish content requirements for the notice of intent; amend KRS 278.712 to permit an applicant to petition for a rehearing or reconsideration of the board's ruling within twenty days; amend KRS 278.708 and KRS 278.714 to conform; renumber subsections to conform.
