SB 20 (BR 110) - T. Buford, G. Neal, E. Scorsone

     AN ACT relating to information required to be maintained and updated by long-term care facilities.
     Amend KRS 216.595 to require long-term care facilities to maintain and update, along with other information already maintained and updated, information relating to dementia-specific staff training for employees.

SB 20 - AMENDMENTS


     SCS - Retain original provisions; require assisted-living communities as defined by KRS 194A.700 to maintain and disclose the same information regarding Alzheimer's disease and related disorders as is required of long-term care facilities.

     HFA (1, T. Burch) - Attach the provisions of HB 110 to SB 20.

     HFA (2/Title, T. Burch) - Make title amendment.

     HFA (3, R. Meeks) - Create a new section of KRS Chapter 315 to encourage the Board of Pharmacy to make recommendations to the Legislative Research Commission and the Interim Joint Committee on Health and Welfare for methods to reduce the incidence of delivery of adulterated, misbranded, deteriorated, outdated, or otherwise recalled prescription drugs to consumers.

     HFA (4, T. Turner) - Retain original provisions and add a section to amend KRS 216B.020 to exempt acute care facilities that provide specified services, are in counties with a population over 55,000, and have approval from local officials from certificate of need requirements.

     HFA (5/Title, T. Turner) - Make title amendment.
