AN ACT relating to the Long-Term Policy Research Center.
Amend KRS 7B.020 to establish the Office for Long-Term Policy Research within the Legislative Research Commission; amend KRS 7B.030 to provide that four advisory board members from the executive branch and six at-large members shall be recommended by the Governor and approved by LRC; amend KRS 7B.040 to authorize the advisory board to make recommendations to LRC, and establish subcommittees, with LRC approval; amend KRS 7B.050 to provide that the office director and employees are employees of the LRC; amend KRS 7B.060 to set forth the office's duties; amend KRS 7B.070 to provide that policy options in studies shall be referred to the appropriate agency, and a response shall be submitted to the office; repeal KRS 7B.080; provide that the fiduciary fund and restricted agency fund account shall be dissolved and money in the fund paid into the General Fund by June 30, 2003.
