SB 48 (BR 928) - R. Roeding

     AN ACT relating to special license plates.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 186 to permit a person to exchange one special license plate for a different special license plate without having to obtain a regular registration in-between.

SB 48 - AMENDMENTS


     HFA (1, M. Weaver) - Retain the provisions of the GA Copy of SB 48 and add two new subsections to provide that a person initially applying for a special license plate shall not first be required to obtain a regular license plate and shall not be required to pay the fee associated with a regular license plate; provide that a person initially applying for a special license plate shall pay the fee charged under KRS Chapter 186 for the particular special plate being requested.

     HFA (2/P, T. Burch) - Attach the provisions of HB 292.

     HFA (3/Title, T. Burch) - Make title amendment.

     HFA (4, H. Moberly) - Delete the original provisions and provide that the General Assembly appropriates for fiscal year 2002-2003 funds required for those expenditures that have been approved by the Secretary of the Finance and Administration Cabinet and which have been paid or for which a check has been written by the Office of the State Treasurer; provide that the General Assembly appropriates for fiscal year 2002-2003 funds required for those expenditures for which a Memorandum of Agreement has been approved by the Secretary of the Finance and Administration Cabinet and the Government Contract Review Committee of the Legislative Research Commission, except as modified by House Bill 269 in the 2003 Regular Session or for which the funding source has been changed; provide that the provisions of this Act apply for period preceding the effective date of House Bill 269 and House Bill 294 of the 2003 Regular Session; EMERGENCY.
