SB 73 (BR 1200) - R. Stivers

     AN ACT relating to reorganization.
     Amend KRS 439.302 relating to the Commission on Correction and Community Service to add the executive director of the Parole Board; amend KRS 15A.040 relating to the Criminal Justice Council to add the executive director of the Parole Board and the Commissioner of the Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation Services; confirm executive order 2002-1342.

SB 73 - AMENDMENTS


     HCS - Retain original provisions; create a new section of KRS Chapter 365 to provide definitions; create a new section of KRS Chapter 365 to require a business which disposes of records to delete or destroy personally identifying information; create a new section of KRS Chapter 365 to provide that person damaged by failure to destroy information may file a civil action for damages and to provide for enjoining violations of the act; amend KRS 434.870 to conform.

     HFA (1/Title, J. Vincent) - Make title amendment.

     HFA (2/P, M. Denham) - Attach HB 193/GA to SB 73/HCS.

     HFA (3/P, E. Ballard) - Retain the provisions of the House Committee Substitute to SB 73 and attach the provisions of HJR 97/GA.

     HFA (4/Title, E. Ballard) - Amend the title to read as follows: An Act relating to state government.

     HFA (5, R. Nelson) - Permit school district number 235 to use the 2002-2004 offer of assistance from the School Facilities Construction Committee using Coal Severance Tax Receipt funds to undertake the major renovation, new construction, or a combination of both for identified schools; EMERGENCY.

     HFA (7, B. Smith) - Retain original provisions of SB 73/GA; add a new section providing an appropriation from Harlan county coal severance funds in FY 2002 - 2003 for the Harlan County Tri-Cities Coordination for Community Development; add a new section declaring an emergency.
