SB 94/LM/CI (BR 1219) - R. Roeding

     AN ACT relating to abuse of public trust.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 522, relating to abuse of public office, to create the crime of abuse of public trust; set penalties; provide for forfeiture of assets; include the punishment that the offender is disqualified from holding public office; provide that a public servant convicted under this section shall not be convicted for the same conduct under KRS 514.070; amend KRS 514.070 to provide that no person shall be convicted under KRS 514.070 if that person has also been convicted of a violation of Section 1 of this Act arising out of the same incident; repeal KRS 61.190.

SB 94 - AMENDMENTS


     SFA (1, D. Karem) - Delete all provisions relating to forfeiture of assets.

     HCS/LM - Retain the provisions of the original bill but make technical corrections in Section 1 subsection (3) by deleting "1." and inserting in lieu thereof "(a)", by deleting "2." and inserting in lieu thereof "(b)", and by deleting "3." and inserting in lieu thereof "(c)".
