     AN ACT proposing an amendment to Section 42 of the Constitution of Kentucky relating to legislative sessions.
     Propose to amend Section 42 of the Constitution of Kentucky to require the General Assembly to remain in even-year regular session beyond 60 days, if necessary, to enact a budget bill; prohibit consideration of any other bill or resolution having the force of law, except for budget memoranda, after the 60th legislative day; provide that members of the General Assembly shall not receive compensation for their services after the 60th day; provide for two day veto override period after enactment of budget in extended session; submit to voters; provide ballot language.

     HCA (1, A. Arnold) - Propose to amend Section 74 of the Constitution of Kentucky to deny compensation to the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, the Governor's chief of staff, the state budget director, and cabinet secretaries if the General Assembly fails to enact a bill or bills appropriating money for the operation of state government in an even-numbered year and continues in session beyond the 60th legislative day.

     HFA (1, S. Riggs) - Propose to amend Section 74 of the Constitution of Kentucky to deny compensation to the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, the Governor's chief of staff, and cabinet secretaries if the General Assembly fails to enact a bill or bills appropriating money for the operation of state government in an even-numbered year and continues in session beyond the sixtieth legislative day.
