HB 248 (BR 928) - R. Webb, B. Farmer, J. Wayne
     AN ACT relating to debtor-creditor relations.
    	Amend KRS 379.080, relating to property exempt from debt, to increase the homestead exemption from $5,000 to $25,000; amend KRS 427.010, relating to debtor property exemptions, to increase the household furnishings and personal clothing exemption from $3,000 to $5,000; increase tools and livestock exemption from $3,000 to $5,000; increase motor vehicle exemption from $2,500 to $7,500; amend KRS 427.060, relating to exemption of  a debtor's personal property, to increase the exemption from $5,000 to $25,000; amend KRS 427.080, relating to homestead exemption in sales of execution, to increase the exemption from $5,000 to $25,000; amend KRS 427.090, relating to property of defendant in execution case, to increase the minimum sale amount from $5,000 to $25,000.

     HCS - Delete provisions of bill and insert in lieu thereof a section amending KRS 427.170 to allow federal bankruptcy exemptions to apply in Kentucky.
