     AN ACT relating to prescriptive authority of advanced registered nurse practitioners.
     Amend KRS 314.011 to authorize advanced registered nurse practitioners to prescribe controlled substances; limit the prescribing of Schedule II controlled substances written by an advanced registered nurse practitioner to a 72 hour supply; amend KRS 314.042 to require an advanced registered nurse practitioner to enter into a written collaborative practice agreement with a physician that defines the scope of the prescriptive authority prior to prescribing controlled substances; amend KRS 218A.010 to include an advanced registered nurse practitioner within the definition of "practitioner" and include an advanced registered nurse practitioner as a provider authorized to order a drug or medicine; and amend KRS 218A.202 to authorize the Board of Nursing to receive reports from the electronic system for monitoring controlled substances under specified circumstances if the nurse is working in a practice where a physician or another advanced registered nurse practitioner is under investigation or if the nurse working in a designated geographic area where inappropriate prescribing may be occurring; amend KRS 314.195 to conform.
