AN ACT relating to fees and making an appropriation.
     Amend KRS 64.012 to increase the fees collected by the county clerks for their services; amend KRS 134.100 to increase the fee from $0.25 to $10 for recording certificates of transfer; amend various provisions of KRS Chapter 186 relating to the issuance of license plates, decals and certificates of registration to increase the clerks' fees and state fees, including the addition of a one dollar fee to go into the highway technology program fund; amend KRS 186.240 to establish the highway technology program fund, and provide that the Transportation Cabinet may make grants to clerks for the improvement of the motor vehicle registrations systems, and to make grants to the Turnpike Authority of Kentucky and entities created under KRS Chapter 181 to study the construction and reconstruction of bridge and highway projects, and administer the fund, and require that criteria for the disbursement of funds shall be set by administrative regulation, and establish the increased state and clerk fees for the issuance of license plates, decals and certificates of registration through December 31, 2007, and then increase fees once more after December 31, 2007; amend KRS 186.245 to change the clerks' offices notice posting requirements; amend KRS 186A.035 to increase registration renewal fees; amend KRS 186A.100 increase the fees of motor vehicle temporary tags; amend KRS 186A. 115 to increase sheriff's fees and certified inspector fees; amend KRS 186A.130 to increase clerk's fees and the application fees for certificates of title, including replacements or corrected ones, and speed titles; amend KRS 186A.555 to increase the clerk's fee for hail damage titles; amend KRS 137.115 to conform; effective January 1, 2006.
