HB 415 (BR 1636) - D. Ford, H. Collins

     AN ACT relating to practices regulated by the Kentucky Board of Hairdresseers and Cosmetologists.
     Amend KRS 317A.020 to exempt hospice employees performing the practices of cosmetology and nail technology under the direction of the hospice interdisciplinary team from the prohibition that only licensed cosmetologists and nail technicians perform such services; amend KRS 317A.050 to delete references to specific amounts for fees and authorize the board to establish fees by administrative regulation; add provision that requires persons who perform charitable services at no costs on premises other than licensed premises to obtain a permit; amend KRS 317B.020 to require guest artists and demonstrators performing esthetician services for compensation to obtain a demonstration permit; permit the cosmetology board to establish a permit for facilities where licensed cosmetologists or estheticians perform limited esthetic services; authorize the board to promulgate administrative regulations prescribing the fee and standards for such limited practice.
