AN ACT relating to workers' compensation and declaring an emergency.
Amend KRS 342.122 to require the Kentucky Workers' Compensation Funding Commission, by October 1 of each year, to notify all insurance carriers writing workers' compensation insurance in the state, including group and individual self-insured employers, of the rates to become effective January 1 of each year; ; amend KRS 342.1242, beginning June 30, 2005, to change the date that the funding commission determines the assets of the special fund and sets rates from September 1 to June 30; require notice of rate changes to be given no later than October 1 instead of December 1 of the year preceding the rate change; EMERGENCY.
