HB 457 (BR 1517) - R. Webb, B. Montell
AN ACT relating to fish and wildlife.
Amend KRS 48.315 to delete the game and fish fund from list of funds subject to transfer to the general fund; amend KRS 150.170 to define farmlands for the purposes of the section as ten contiguous acres; amend KRS 150.175 to provide that a short-term hunting license may be issued to both residents and nonresidents; amend KRS 150.280 to clarify that permit revocation may be for violations of federal and other states' laws; amend KRS 150.320 to remove the exemption of crows from the chapter's protections; amend KRS 150.370 to remove the provision that furs obtained out of season are presumed to be taken illegally; amend KRS 150.412 to provide that a commercial guide does not have his or her hunting and fishing privileges reduced as a consequence of serving as a guide; amend KRS 150.999 to provide for increased penalties relating to violations of the chapter and provide for treble damages for violation of KRS 150.460, relating to fish kills.
HB 457 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain original provisions of the bill except to delete the changes relating to short-term hunting licensees; restore original statutory language relating to short-term hunting licenses; provide that a short-term fishing license may be provided to both residents and nonresidents; amend KRS 150.175 to delete language relating to nonresident special hunting licenses for hunting on licensed hunting preserves; make clarifying and technical change.
HFA (1, R. Webb) - Remove changes to KRS 150.175(Q) and restore original text relating to special licenses for nonresidents for hunting on licensed hunting preserves and delete new language in subsection (2) relating to hunting preserves; amend KRS 150.280(1) to provide that a license may be revoked for a violation of KRS Chapter 150 law; delete new language in KRS 150.990 that provided for treble damage for fish and wildlife kills and restore original text.
