AN ACT relating to life-sustaining medical treatment for persons with disabilities.
Create a new section of KRS Chapter 311 to define "express and informed consent"; establish a presumption for the provision of artifically-provided nutrition and hydration for a person without decisional capacity and without an advance directive; prohibit a health care surrogate, an agency representative, or a court to withhold artifically-provided nutrition and hydration except in specified circumstances; amend KRS 311.629 and KRS 311.631 to conform.
